While a 73-pound cooker may sound heavy, the two back wheels make it seamless to move from point A to point B if necessary (though long distance moves once built is not recommended.)
For me, the most dreaded part of cooking is cleaning, but this is not the case with the Masterbuilt 20075315 Front Controller Smoker. Firstly, the front-access drip pan really shortens the clean-up process as it allows you to quickly and seamlessly dispose and wash out that residue. In addition, the brackets holding the trays in place have a simple clip mechanism to slide out the trays for washing after use. You won’t want to use harsh chemicals, so either a hot water/apple cider vinegar mix or even plain soap and water will do the trick
Opportunities for Improvement
Though this is arguably one of the best options on the market, there are two factors that I wish would be improved. The first one is the capacity of the wood tray. Though it operates very smoothly, the maximum number of wood chips tends to last only about 45 minutes or so. If you’re looking to do a lengthy smoke, you may need to add chips a few times or soak them in the water prior to loading them to make them last longer. In addition, when using the smoker, though the glass front is great in theory, after a while, the smoking and moisture clouds the glass anyway. This element will definitely have to be cleaned after every use. Overall though, every pro outweighs these minor cons.
